Film Night —  Casatiello & Parthenope
Welcome to an evening where we bring together two of Naples’ great art forms: food tradition and cinema. We’ll gather in our food studio in Årsta to enjoy casatiello, the rustic and irresistible bread filled with classic ingredients from Campania, and watch Parthenope – Paolo Sorrentino’s poetic tribute to Naples and to the woman who carries the city’s soul.
The evening starts with food and wine. We’ll serve Neapolitan casatiello, freshly baked and filled with pecorino, salami, and pork rind. It’s rich, soft, and full of the bold flavors of southern Italy. Alongside it comes a glass of red wine and a short story about the bread’s origins, from its Easter symbolism to the scents of the street markets.
Then we dim the lights and settle in for the film.
Parthenope (2024) is a visual and existential journey through Naples, told through the eyes of a young woman who shares the city’s name – mythical, proud, and untamed. Directed by Paolo Sorrentino (La grande bellezza, The Hand of God), the film is as much a love letter to Naples as it is to the feminine mystery.
Expect a night of good food and wine, of sinking into Sorrentino’s magical imagery, and letting yourself be swept up in the scents, light, and sounds of Naples.
This is an intimate gathering with limited seats — designed to be warm, social, and memorable.
