Dive into blåmat—Sweden’s sea-grown pantry. In this practical, taste-as-you-go class you’ll cook with local seaweeds, learn how to recognise them along our coasts, and understand how to harvest and handle them sustainably from shore to plate.
What you’ll do
- Meet some of Sweden’s most common edible seaweed species and how to tell them apart.
- Learn responsible harvesting and post-harvest handling.
- Cook together: use seaweed from raw ingredient to finished dish.
- Taste a selection of seaweed products & dishes.
- Take home recipes and tips to keep experimenting.
Instructor
Sofia Slavik, founder of Vildväxt — trained homesteader, certified mushroom consultant and seaweed guide with deep experience in wild foods, coastal algae and fermentation.
